The tranquillity of river cruising is really appealing – though your itinerary may be busy with included excursions, there is something very peaceful about cruising the river during the day and watching the scenery pass by. My standout river cruise memory was a private after-hours tour of St Mark’s Basilica when cruising to Venice with Uniworld – a truly unforgettable experience.
